I have the very best intentions when it comes to the body beautiful. I invest in scrubs and moisturisers like the dry-skin apocalypse is upon us. Come the end of winter, however, I invariably unleash legs that would put a puffer fish to shame. Heidi Klein’s Coconut Beach Body Polish promises to change all that, turn my scaly skin into the glowing, smooth stuff found on bikini shoots.

A delicious sea-salt, coconut-oil scrub is massaged in limb by limb then wiped off with hot towels. Next, the skin is ‘buffed’ with oversized woollen mitts, which I’m the lovely Lauren tells me will leave my skin with a fine sheen – and she’s right. Finally, I’m smothered in a whipped body butter – not at all sickly sweet smelling like some coconut offerings – and given a back and calf massage.

And the result? A fantastic feeling of relaxation plus smooth skin with a milky fragrance. Be prepared to waft on a cloud of coconut the rest of the week.
