Aqua-therapy at Hydrohealing

Arriving to sample the hydro-cushioning massage at Hydrohealing, I was led out of the winter gloom into an oasis of calm. In hushed tones my therapist, Daniella, settled me down
on a series of warm, water-filled cushions in the candle-lit therapy suite. I soon found my balance atop the watery bed and sunk into its supportive mass. Proceedings began with a thorough head massage, I’m not sure if it targeted specific acupressure points or just simply pushed my buttons, but I was soon in full snooze mode.
With well-oiled hands, she then began to work on my back, weaving her hands expertly beneath me and above the cushions, a hard concept to visualise I grant you, but it works. Without pausing for a second the flowing, manipulative strokes unknotted my spine, and worked my tired limbs.
As the lights gradually crept back up I got dressed in a daze, luckily my partner was waiting for me at the door and, like a sleeping child, lead me gently to the waiting car and home to bed, where I slept for a 12 blissful hours.
