French fancy
French Fashion label Comptoir des Cotonniers held its first ever London casting auditions this month at its Westbourne Grove store. The search was on for real mother-and-daughter couples to appear in Comptoir’s fashion shows and advertising campaigns for the autumn/winter collections. The turnout filled the boutique with glamorous mummies and their angelic Mini-Mes. Applicants came from far and wide, with one pair travelling up from Dorset for the event. While the children played among the clothes rails, the mothers enjoyed Nicolas Feuillette champagne and indulged in some retail therapy between the all-important photocalls with photographer Melvyn Vincent.

On the up
Elegantly refurbished with breathtakingly high ceilings with ornate roses and huge sash windows, Upstairs at The Oak has reopened above the gastropub on Westbourne Park Road. Local residents and business owners gathered at a series of parties to celebrate its return. And with Lily Cole seen dining downstairs, The Oak looks set for a fantastic comeback.

Mad Hatters
Guests arrived in crazy hats, animal ears, masks and horns as Notting Hill’s most glamorous hostess, Tamsin Lonsdale, held an exclusive party for members of The Supper Club. The Mad Hatter’s Easter Bash, which was held at Number 5 Cavendish Square, W1, was attended by 200 members who enjoyed a selection of U'Luvka Vodka cocktails, ate the Mad Hatter’s cake and danced to music by DJ Jimmy V.
